Please join us for a public conversation with Kansas Department of Transportation Secretary, Mike King, Friday, April 8, from 7:30 - 9 a.m., at the Lied Center Pavilion.
Secretary King will provide a presentation on proposed changes to access points along K-10 per the recent K-10 West Leg SLT Study conducted by the Dept. of Transportation. Following the presentation, guests will have ample time for Q & A with the Secretary. At issue are the potential losses of access to K-10 from Kasold (near 31st & Kasold) and from N. 1800 Road, more commonly known as "Farmer's Turnpike.
Light breakfast items and refreshments will be made available courtesy of the Lied Center.
You can read a recent Lawrence Journal-World article on some of the proposed plans HERE and view PDFs prepared by the Dept. of Transportation HERE.
Further details and research on other proposed projects can be found on the Kansas Dept. of Transportation website: http://www.ksdot.org/.
