Community Blood Drive Honoring Sen. Elizabeth Dole's 90th Birthday

On July 29, Senator Elizabeth Dole turns 90! A trailblazer in leadership, Dole forged a career in public service across five different presidential administrations, leading the American Red Cross, representing North Carolina in the U.S. Senate, and creating the first-of-its-kind foundation supporting military and veteran caregivers.

To celebrate this milestone, the Dole Institute invites the public and new and returning KU students to a community blood drive on Friday, August 28 from 12-4 p.m. Our goal is to engage 90 donors to donate blood to celebrate Senator Dole’s 90th birthday.

This blood drive is being organized by the Community Blood Center.
