The Free State Festival celebrates the free spirit of Kansas with films that challenge, inspire and entertain. This signature annual event brings independent films, live music, comedy and art installations to venues throughout the vibrant city of Lawrence, Kansas.

New for 2024 - A morning and afternoon shotgun start!
The tournament format is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start hosted at Lawrence Country Club. Players are encouraged to arrive early to register, mix and mingle, and enjoy hosted snacks and beverages before your flight begins. Join us for this great monthly event to network with other Chamber members at a joint After Hours by The Lied Center and Dole Institute of Politics!

Carnival of the Animals is a children’s ballet set to music Le Carnaval Des Animaux by Saint-Saëns. In this ballet, a group of students visits a museum of natural history on a school trip. Olivia sneaks off as the group is leaving and she falls asleep dreaming about all the different animals coming to life.
Our second act will feature contemporary numbers at are carnival and animal themed. Dancers will be performing a modern, jazz, and hip hop numbers.
Our show is the perfect length for young children to enjoy!

Tickets are $9 for adults and children plus ticketing service fee.
Children under 2 sitting on a lap do not need a ticket.

Camp days will focus on developing all skills for baseball such as fielding, hitting, bunting, throwing and learning the rules and terminology of the game. Most importantly we will have fun!
