Bert Nash Center and DCCCA are excited to partner to offer Mental Health First Aid training this fall! We still have openings for the following sessions:
Friday, September 25
Friday, October 23
Tuesday, November 24
Friday, December 18
Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to approach and support someone who may be struggling, and how to connect them with appropriate professional resources. Much like CPR helps you respond to a physical health emergency, Mental Health First Aid provides practical skills that can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
The course includes approximately 2 hours of self-paced online pre-work through MHFA Connect, which participants will complete during the two weeks leading up to the training.
The live virtual session will be held via Microsoft Teams or Zoom from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (7.5 hours total, including lunch and breaks).
To learn more or register, visit https://www.bertnash.org/mhfa. The registration fee is $30 per person.
