Winter Table 2017. An Ornithological Evening, Thursday, Feb. 23rd, 6:30 pm, KU Natural History Museum On Thursday, Feb. 23, the KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum will offer a special evening dedicated to celebrating our collections and research. Winter Table 2017: An Ornithological Evening will begin with our science salon at 6:30 pm. Explore our bird collections and enjoy appetizers and drinks. View John Gould’s book, The Birds of Great Britain, Vol. 1, and a hand-colored lithographic print of The Snowy Owl, presented by the KU Spencer Research Library. Dinner will be served at 7:30 in the Panorama Gallery with KU ornithology scientists and graduate students who are conducting research across the globe. Dinner also includes a talk by one of our ornithologists. Tickets for this exclusive event are $50.
