There is overwhelming consensus among scientists and parents about the safety and efficacy of vaccines in preventing infectious disease yet, a small but vocal minority of people persist in believing that vaccines don't work or are dangerous to all children. At this Science on Tap, Jennifer Raff, Assistant Professor of Anthropology, will discuss the history of the anti-vaccine movement, focusing on some common themes and motivations that underlie these beliefs.
