The lineup is in for the 2nd Annual Kansas Food Truck Festival and the cuisine is shaping up to be a foodie’s paradise. Due to the wildly successful first year, this year’s event has more food trucks, street performance and live entertainment to benefit Just Food, the food bank in Douglas County. The festival will be held at the Warehouse Arts District on May 2, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Food trucks from across the region will serve up delicious dishes of all varieties. The following is a list of food trucks participating in this year’s event:

4.Coffee Cake KC - Coffee cake, cupcakes, smoothies and other desserts
5.Brock Hops - Hot dogs of all styles with every kind of topping
6.Deco Street Eats - Street fare with a gourmet touch
7.Indios Carbonsitos - Mexi-Q and favorites from south of the border
8.Moose Truck - Street fare favorites
9.Wilma’s - Creative twists on traditional favorites
10.Richie Rich’s - BBQ
11.Street Wings - Chicken wings galore
12.Snoflower - Sno cones w 50-plus flavors
13.Drasko’s - Fusion BBQ

15.Jazzy B’s - Soul food
Good food is just the beginning. The festival features kid-friendly activities, shopping and live music. Kids will enjoy face painting, a bouncy house, as well as live street performers from the Lawrence Busker Festival. You can also shop the latest fashions at the Jeweled Gypsy Fashion Truck. The stage will have live entertainment from DJ Johnny Quest, Sharp 9 and Paper Buffalo.
Many sponsors in the community are making this event possible. Sponsors include HyVee, Ranjbar Orthodontics, Great Plains Media, O’Malley Beverage, Advanco, The Granada, Sound Innovations, Bartlett and West, Cromwell Environmental and Sunflower Rental.
Advance tickets are recommended, as the event is expected to draw nearly 3,000 attendees this year. Tickets are on sale at www.ksfoodtruckfest.com and at Just Food, Cider Gallery, Lawrence HyVee locations, Merchants Pub and Plate, Granada Box Office and Phoenix Gallery. Beer and food will also be sold at an additional cost and ATMs will be available.
