The next meeting of Jayhawk SHRM will be Tuesday August 8 at Maceli's. This month our speaker is Sgt. Michael Cobb and the topic is on Workplace Violence.
CRASE Training (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) aims to empower citizens who may encounter an active attack situation. The training was created by Texas State University and Alerrt.org, its aim is to empower citizens not scare them. CRASE will train everyone who attends to realize that what they do matters, and they are not helpless in these situations.
Sergeant Mike Cobb is an 18 Year Veteran of LKPD, a lifelong "Lawrencian," Baker University 06' and 12’ Undergrad and Master’s Degrees. He is also a former Lawrence Swat Team Member (CRT) and Active Shooter Training Team Leader for last 8 years.
