Mexico is an important export market for Kansas, traditionally ranking as one of the state’s top three trading partners. Based on 2017’s data, Mexico is Kansas’ second largest export destination, totaling $1.9 billion. Compared with the previous year, Kansas exports to Mexico increased by more than $17 million.
To help Kansas companies gain traction in the Mexican market, the Kansas Department of Commerce Mexico Office (KMO) offers many valuable services such as business partner search, market study, customized company visits, and individual trade counseling.
KMO representative Mr. Tom Johnston will visit Kansas to present on Export Opportunities to Mexico on June 6 in Wichita and June 7 in Olathe.
These free sessions will focus on Export Opportunities to Mexico and will provide country market information on market trends, economic landscapes, trade concerns, and opportunities for Kansas products and services. One-on-one meetings are available on a first-come first-served basis. Companies interested in exploring the Mexican market are highly encouraged to attend these events.
