Federal funds under the CARES Act have been allocated to the state of Kansas, and in turn were distributed to Kansas counties to assist communities in dealing with ongoing impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. While the priority for these funds is supporting public health and safety, there are provisions under the guidelines that allow for support of business-related entities. Informational meetings will be held to inform Douglas County businesses about these funds and the application process.
Informational virtual meetings will outline the process for local businesses to apply for funding on Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. and Thursday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. The turnaround time for funding proposals will be very tight because of submission deadlines. Please plan on joining one of these calls if you are interested in learning more about the process for applying for these funds. These calls will be recorded, as well.
