About Us

The Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) maintains 236 miles of user-fee supported roadway from the Oklahoma border to Kansas City. The KTA doesn’t receive state or federal tax funds. Our mission is to move Kansas forward by operating a safe, reliable and customer-valued turnpike system in a fiscally responsible, businesslike manner.

If you have a K-TAG not much will change. Plus, using a K-TAG will save you 50% on tolls when cashless begins.
We understand roadway incidents happen. The KTA Safety Assist program, sponsored by GEICO, utilizes a fleet of dedicated vehicles operated solely by Kansas Turnpike personnel to provide free initial roadside assistance to motorists on busy sections of the Kansas Turnpike.
