About Us

The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence provides a safe, positive place after school and during the summer for Lawrence youth in grades K-12 and strives to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as responsible, productive, caring citizens. The Club uses a combination of targeted programs and special initiatives created by our national curriculum team at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. These programs help ensure that our Club kids are set up for success in our three priority outcome areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Good Character & Citizenship. Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence serves roughly 1,500 students with different ethnic, racial, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds every day, making it one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs per capita in the entire country.
