2024 Back2School Douglas County School Supply Drive Event A weekly event for local entrepreneurs to meet and present their businesses to the Lawrence community over coffee. 1 Million Cups is a free program designed to educate, engage, & inspire entrepreneurs around the country. It has grown to over 160 cities across the U.S. Every month our Envoy group meets to network, discuss current intitiatives, and have fun!
What is an Envoy?!
1. Our Envoy committee represents The Chamber in the community.
2. Envoys support local businesses and non-profits and encourage others to do the same.
3. Envoy members attend ribbon cuttings, business after hours, and other Chamber events!
4. This group welcomes new Chamber members and serves as ambassadors for our organization to the business community and the Lawrence community as a whole.
5. Envoys get weekly emails including last minute reminders for events, upcoming event agendas, and more!
Who Can Join?!
Any employee of a Chamber member business can join the Envoy Committee! It?s a free benefit to members, with the option to purchase an Envoy name tag for a small fee.

Special thanks to our 2024 Envoy Tri-Chairs Secily Rees at Envista Credit Union, Audra Fussell at Truity Credit Union and Todd Chapple at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas! Join us at D-BAT Lawrence as many days as you want for baseball camp! Camp days will focus on developing all skills for baseball such as fielding, hitting, bunting, throwing and learning the rules and terminology of the game. Most importantly we will have fun!
Be sure to bring your own water and a sack lunch! Please join us in celebrating our 10th Birthday here at Peaslee Tech on Thursday, July 11th from 3-6 pm. We will have food, drinks, live music, raffle prizes and more! A Benefit for Cottonwood, Incorporated presented by Standard Beverage Corporation.
This is the 25th year of this fabulous Salute! event!
Participants register and pick up a souvenir wineglass, map and tote bag then begin their Mosey down Mass Street, stopping in participating venues to sample fine wines, other spirits and more.

As with all Salute! activities, Mosey participants must be 21 years of age. The Salute! Winemaker Dinner will be an evening of fabulous food and wine.
Participants enjoy an elaborate, multi-course meal paired with wines from J. Lohr Vineyards and Wine.
