DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a ribbon cutting Thursday\, May 12\, at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the Belcher Family HVAC Lab at The Dwayne Peaslee Technical Training Center.\n\n \n\nPeaslee Tech opened its doors in August 2015 and now is very proud to complete a new lab within its first year of operation. The new Belcher Family HVAC Lab will be the third large lab in the facility\, joining a Construction Lab\, and a Manufacturing Lab.\n\n \n\nThe ribbon cutting ceremony will start in the main lobby of Peaslee Tech and then move into the new lab once the ribbon is cut. \n\n \n\nOther notables from Peaslee Tech:\n\n \n\nPeaslee Tech currently offers educational and training program from Johnson County Community College\, Neosho County Community College\, and Flint Hills Technical College. Our mission notes that "we are a catalyst for economic growth providing technical training to a diverse community of learners to meet the current and emerging needs of our communities and employers." \n\n \n\nWe are deeply grateful to Mr. Smitty Belcher (pictured below) and family for their major contribution to the new lab. Mr. Belcher owns P1 Group\, Inc\, in Lawrence\, Topeka\, Kansas City\, Wichita\, Las Vegas\, Joplin\, St. Joseph\, and Des Moines. This type of gift from an industry leader is exemplary of generous engagement in skills training for the community.
