DESCRIPTION:The City of Lawrence is pleased to present the Lawrence City Band summer concerts\, beginning Wednesday\, May 31.\n\n \n\nSponsored by the City of Lawrence and the Rice Foundation\, the Lawrence City Band performs at 8 p.m. every Wednesday night through Wednesday\, July 19\, in South Park. \n\n \n\nThe following are the music themes to be presented throughout the summer concert series:\n\n	May 31 Summertime Again in South Park\n	June 7 South Park Classics\n	June 14 City Band Fan Favorites\n	June 21 Those Irish Eyes are Smiling\n	June 28 More Movie Music!\n	July 5 America on Parade\n	July 12 Americana\n	July 19 More Americana\n\nThe band is conducted by Paul Popiel. In the event of inclement weather\, the concert will be held at the Lied Center\, 1600 Stewart Drive\, on the University of Kansas Campus.
