DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. \n\n\n\nThe Chamber hosts Government & Community Affairs Luncheons the second Wednesday of each month open to any Chamber member and features speakers on a variety of topics\, ranging from voting and elections to affordable housing and economic development. If you're interested in joining GCA\, email Vice President of External Affairs Hugh Carter.\n\n\n\nThis month's presenter will be Alissa Ice\, Director of Housing Development for the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation. A lack of quality\, affordable housing is widely recognized as one of the state's biggest barriers to growth and development. Alissa will be presenting the results of the recently completed year-long comprehensive statewide housing assessment. This study\, the first of its kind undertaken in 27 years\, addresses a decades-long shortage of data on existing housing resources and current and projected needs and growth opportunities.
