We will gather at 1 pm and the panel discussion will begin at 1:30 pm. The moderator is Dr. Clarence Lang\, professor at University of Kansas\, the presenters are\; Patrick Schmitz\, Bert Nash CEO\; Mike Brouwer\, Douglas County Re-Entry Coordinator\; Jose Cornejo\, Mental Health Facilitator for the Lawrence Public Schools\; Chief District Court Judge Peggy Kittel\; and Lawrence Attorney Julia Butler. The purpose of the forum is not a pro/con session regarding the County's jail sales tax ballot but a presentation of facts\, current status\, and capacity to address inmate and mental health needs and where we go from here.
