Additionally\, he oversaw the renovation of the new police facility\, which repurposed a historic building to a state-of-the-art LEED Platinum Public Safety facility.\n\n\n\n"It is a fantastic opportunity and challenge that is just the right time for me and made more special because of the connection with the renowned Kansas University city management program where my professional journey began and is close to where I grew up and family\," said Owens.
