Disadvantaged Business/Minority Business/Woman-Owned Business Certification Workshop
Are you a Lawrence/Douglas County disadvantaged, minority, or woman-owned business, interested in potential contracting opportunities with governmental entities or private businesses seeking to do business with companies like yours? If so, be sure to attend the Disadvantaged Business/Minority Business/Woman-Owned Business (MWBE) Certification Workshop being held at the The Chamber of Lawrence on Wednesday, September 18 from 11:30 to 1:00. Rhonda Harris, Kansas Department of Commerce Minority and Woman-Owned Business Director, will be on hand to provide information on the advantages of business certification and the requirements and process to become certified. Certification can make your company an eligible applicant for contracting opportunities with many governmental entities and private companies that are seeking to do business with diverse small companies. This event will be held in the Lawrence Chamber’s Conference Room and lunch will be provided to workshop attendees. There is no charge for this event, but you must register and there is a practical limit on attendance due to the size of the room—so please make sure you register early for this workshop.
